Fortis has an opportunistic residential investment strategy to acquire properties and developable land in the strongest demographic and economic markets, and in locations that allow Fortis to creatively and efficiently operate, design and develop the most attractive projects.  Fortis’ residential investments are currently concentrated in the Manhattan and Brooklyn boroughs of New York City.

These markets present very high barriers to entry, requiring extraordinary capital, effort and capability to bring projects to completion.  Fortis’ investment strategy also leverages the executives legal, tax and financial expertise to enable the Company to undertake the most complex acquisitions and development projects.
